Hi, my name is Jen. I grew up in Beautiful BC (Penticton), before moving to Winnipeg to dance at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet school, when I was 14 years old. Upon graduation I was offered a job in the RWB company and danced professionally for 13 years. I retired in 2011 and pursued Yoga, travelling back to BC (Victoria), to take my 500hr Yoga Training with Modo Yoga International. I am also a certified Prenatal Yoga Instructor, Barre Instructor, and Mutu Certified Pro™.
My family and I moved back to BC in 2017. I absolutely LOVE being back amongst the mountains and ocean, and happily traded in my Sorels for rainboots. I am currently a (mostly) stay at home mom, and part-time instructor at Annex Fitness, Yoga Lab Victoria, and Yoga Lab Westshore.
I was inspired to learn more about postpartum wellness after my 2nd was born via c-section. I was given the “go ahead” to get back into fitness and was very frustrated. I was going to classes and feeling worse after a workout. I could get through the movement, but felt disconnected. I wasn’t seeing the results I was used to, or feeling any stronger. I decided to try MUTU® System and it changed my entire approach to postpartum exercise. I went back to the foundation of rebuilding and reconnecting with my pelvic floor and core and felt SO much better. I felt supported, and finally able to make my Diastasis Recti (abdominal separation) functional.
Mamas are AMAZING! It’s important to realize that self care isn’t selfish. My goal is to empower women so that you can be confident, strong, and ready for every adventure you embark on! My holistic approach to fitness and health will have you feeling great and achieving the results you desire.
